Tackling the
closet
To prepare for the upcoming 2014 Beauty Awards I have two
tasks…
1.
Research beauty “experts”, write
bios about them to examine their credentials, and contact them for
interviews/suggestions.
2.
Completely organize the fashion
closet and sort through the bags designers have sent us this
week.
So … the first
task has been an absolute blast and I’m really excited about some of the
experts we will get a chance to work with.
The
second … Well, I’ve always had a secret obsession for organizing. (I guess
if you’ve ever been over, it’s probably not that secret at all) So
when Jennie (our fashion editor)
discussed organizing the fashion closet with me I was really excited
about it. It’s now been two days since that time and my love affair has made a quick
and bitter switch … organizing currently gets a huge thumbs down from
me.
but so fun….
It has been raining non-stop yesterday and
today. But TODAY
after work I met up with some other interns here in NY from BYU, we had
dinner together, and then went to Serendipity!
If you haven’t ever seen the movie, Serendipity, I would highly recommend
it. It is on my top-ten list of chick-flicks. Through the pouring rain,
we made the trek and rode the subway to the Upper East Side, finally arriving at our destination!
What we ordered: "Frrrrozen" hot chocolate with salted carmel
AND the humble pie (peanut butter + graham cracker pie) chocolate-fudge and banana sundae!**
The trains we needed to get back to our stop
were all closed from the station we were at so we had to make a little commute
to another station down the street. This actually turned out to be one of my
favorite parts of the night. Luckily, I had my rain boots and umbrella handy.
We walked by all of the 5th Avenue shops with a view of the Chrysler
Building and I loved every freezing second of it!!
